That’s me up there…I’m Dena, owner and the girl behind Images by Dena.

I am a natural light lifestyle photographer with over 20 years of experience. I specialize in families, children, and business photography. I focus on capturing the art of the every day in my images.

My photographic journey began with a really nice camera and no idea of how to use it. I found a wonderful photography class, took it and then another, and another and even more after that! I have always had a creative side, but I couldn’t paint or draw, so I never felt that I had “my” creative outlet until that first magical class. In this class, I discovered that I had a story to tell, and I loved the process of seeing that story come to life in the images that I took. I enjoyed seeing how this form of expression was as much a form of art as any painting or drawing was.

Then, ten years ago, I started teaching others to take control of their cameras. Well, who knew…not only did I have a passion for taking photos and telling stories, but I also had a passion for teaching people in an easy, understandable way to use their cameras. One of the best feelings is having someone leave their first photography class, saying, “I had no idea that I could learn so much in such a short amount of time!”
